Accountant
About the Role
Orange Pot Africa Limited is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage daily financial operations, ensure statutory compliance, and provide accurate financial reports to management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting and financial transactions.
- Perform bank, vendor, and inter-company reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate ledgers, financial records, and reports.
- Monitor expenses, sales, inventory, and imported goods costs.
- Assist with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial planning.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
- Process and track invoices, payments, receivables, and payables.
- Handle PAYE, VAT, WHT, Pension, and other statutory remittances.
- Support CIT filings, audits, and tax compliance.
- Maintain accounting records using Odoo or similar software.
- Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and processes.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax and statutory requirements, including PAYE, VAT, WHT, Pension, and CIT.
- Proficiency in accounting software; Odoo experience is an advantage.
- Strong Excel, reconciliation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
