Accountant - Real Estate Industry

Our client is a well-established Real Estate Agency in Limassol, Cyprus, providing comprehensive property services to local and international clientele. As the company continues to grow, they are now seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to take full ownership of the accounting function.

Job Description

The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day financial operations of the office, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and timely reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual who thrives in a hands-on accounting role and is looking to become a key part of a dynamic and supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Handle all bookkeeping duties and maintain accurate financial records.
  

• Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with Cyprus tax legislation.
  

• Process payroll, including social insurance and tax deductions.
  

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and invoicing.
  

• Reconcile bank statements and maintain up-to-date cash flow records.
  

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  

• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.
  

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  

Requirements

• LCCI Higher or a relevant accounting qualification (e.g. CAT, ACA, ACCA, or university degree in Accounting or Finance).
  

• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in Cyprus.
  

• Solid knowledge of Cyprus VAT and payroll regulations.
  

• Experience with accounting software (e.g. Intelisoft, QuickBooks, or similar).
  

• Excellent command of English; knowledge of Greek is an advantage.
  

• Strong attention to detail, organisational, and time-management skills.
  

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
