General Description:
The Accountant reports to the Chief Accountant and Executive Director, supporting petroleum exploration activities through accurate financial reporting and compliance with Mongolian regulations.

Specific Duties:

• Handle daily bank, cash, and non-cash transactions.
• Prepare bank reconciliations, cash calls, expenditure reports, and fuel card usage reports.
• Maintain accounts receivable/payable, fixed asset register, and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and tax reports (VAT, WHT, CIT).
• Submit reports to MRPAM and EITI, and assist in audits (financial, cost recovery, tax, social insurance).
• Ensure compliance with government requirements and conduct staff training on financial policies.
• Draft financial correspondence and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting
• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
• Fluent in Mongolian and English.
