Accountant, Senior

JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Accountant is responsible for accurately preparing, analyzing, recording and reporting transactions related to the activities of Nabors Corporate Services and other business units of Nabors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Team lead providing assistance, support and backup to Staff Accountants and Analysts.
• Perform monthly quality assessment of global balance sheet reconciliations.
• Participate in payroll projects including customizations, localizations, implementations and upgrades.
• Preparation of monthly payroll entries including actual payroll, accruals, treasury fundings, tax and garnishment entries, and distribution of labor reports.
• Reconciliation of the GL (payroll journals) to Costing (labor distribution reports) and reconciliation of Costing (labor distribution reports) to HCM (Gross to Net reports).
• Reconciliation of assigned cash accounts (operating, payroll, investments, petty cash, cash in transit, commercial paper) and monthly cash packages. Maintenance of petty cash custodians, imprest balances and bank signatories.
• Non-systematic PO accrual preparation.
• Reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts related to payroll, benefits and stock accounts.
• Heavy interaction with Payroll, Benefits, HR, Treasury, IT and the business units to research and resolve payroll, cash and purchasing related issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
