Accountant (Systems)

These positions are with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Associate Chief Financial Officer for Shared Services, Financial Management Services Center in New Orleans, LA. The purpose of these positions are to provide technical advice to officials and other personnel regarding the operations of accounting, payroll, and/or personnel systems.

Applies knowledge of accounting theories, practices, methods, and techniques to independently plan and conduct a variety of assignments.

Assists personnel with analyzing accounting systems to solve a variety of accounting problems.

Supports branch and division customer service programs with resolving customer requests, issues, and problems.

Assists personnel with analyzing abnormal balances and processing corrective adjustments.

You must be a US Citizen or US National. Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt. Satisfactory Background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
