Accountant

Role Description: We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our growing Tax & Accounting team in Dubai. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for someone with experience in an accounting firm or outsourced accounting environment who can manage multiple clients. Reporting to the Tax & Accounting General Manager, you will provide accounting, VAT, and Corporate Tax services to a portfolio of SME clients. Key Responsibilities: • Manage a portfolio of clients and ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping and accounting services. • Prepare monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets. • Review source documents, identify discrepancies, and prepare reports for clients when required. • Set up and maintain cloud-based accounting systems and perform bank and cash reconciliations. • Manage accounts receivable and payable, including invoicing, debtor tracking, creditor reconciliations, and supplier queries. • Handle VAT registrations, deregistration's, amendments, and VAT return submissions in compliance with UAE regulations. • Support Corporate Tax registrations and return filings while ensuring compliance with FTA requirements and deadlines. • Assist with FTA queries, clarifications, and audits when required. • Support the onboarding of new accounting clients, including accounting clean-ups and historical catch-up work. • Participate in internal projects, process improvements, and other initiatives to enhance service delivery.

• Proven UAE VAT and tax accounting experience (required) • UAE experience is essential • Accounting firm/professional services experience preferred • Qualified or part-qualified accountant • Knowledge of IFRS and IFRS for SMEs • Experienced in using Xero, Zoho Books, and QuickBooks • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills Personal Attributes: • Highly organized and detail-oriented • Strong client-service and communication skills • Comfortable managing competing deadlines • Proactive, accountable, and able to take ownership
