Accountant - Treasury
As an Accountant – Treasury, you will be an integral member of our finance team, responsible for supporting treasury operations and financial activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of treasury management functions, including cash flow analysis, liquidity management, risk assessment, and financial reporting. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical expertise in treasury management while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Forecast cash flow requirements and proactively manage the company’s short-term cash flows.
- Manage overdrafts, trade finance facilities, and working capital funding lines.
- Maintain schedules for import facilities, short-term and long-term loans, letters of credit (LCs), and investment guarantees.
- Maintain strong relationships with banking partners and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction flows.
- Prepare treasury reports requested by senior management and provide regular treasury updates.
- Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements while managing financial risks, including foreign exchange (FX) and liquidity risks.
- Ensure timely completion of month-end closure activities, including verifying the accuracy of interest calculations (overdrafts, short-term/import/long-term loans, interest income) and other bank charges.
- Provide required information to the financial reporting team, internal auditors, and external auditors during year-end audits.
Candidates Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Should be a member of or a passed finalist of CA/ACCA/CIMA.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Prior experience with SAP and treasury management software would be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to lead, adapt, and thrive in a fast-paced environment while working effectively as part of a team.
