Accountant

About the Position: Serves as an Accountant in the execution of various funding within a prescribed U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Information Technology (G6) program. This is a developmental Accountant, GS-0510-11/12. This position may be filled at the GS-11 or GS-12 grade level.

Compile and submit financial reports required by local management and higher headquarters activities.

Provide Portfolio Manager and Resource Manager execution report monthly.

Determine the meaning/significance of data contained in accounting and financial statements to identify problems and advise supported organizations.

Provide authoritative policy interpretations and functional recommendations relating to the effectiveness of accounting operations. Enter corrections for disputed transactions.
