Dow has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an Accounting Analyst based in São Paulo, Brazil.

In this role, you will be responsible for cash management and monthly/quarterly accounting close activities, and leading or assisting in organizational process improvements. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your finance background and unique skills to contribute to the success of Dow’s Consolidated Insurance subsidiaries as well as learn a new avenue of accounting you may have not been exposed to. You will have a general understanding of the insurance industry, accounting principles, and a willingness to learn and adapt. A background and familiarity with SAP and accounting close process is a plus. Employees may be considered who have displayed strong interest in, and commitment to, finance or had adjacent roles that provided similar exposure.

Responsibilities:

  • The Cash Desk Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cash operations for Dow’s insurance subsidiaries.

  • This role involves monitoring the FDORPAY functional mailbox, preparing vouchers for claims and treaty contracts with complete supporting documentation, and recording cash inflows and outflows based on bank report data.

  • This role also contributes to the Synergy system close process by executing cash-related tasks, validating and distributing monthly reports, and handling miscellaneous invoicing and SAP reclassification entries.

  • Additional responsibilities include submitting manual journal entries for approval, performing reconciliations for key accounts, reallocating cash items from suspense accounts, executing global clearings, and updating monthly cash movement records.

  • This position is responsible for monitoring letters of credit associated with various vendors and for creating and maintaining vendor codes as needed.

  • This role is key in supporting the broader financial reporting and compliance requirements of the consolidated insurance entities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or other Finance related disciplines

  • Fluent English Level

  • Strong skills in SAP, Excel, and Reporting tools

  • Demonstrates the ability to adapt and problem-solve

  • Strong analytical and process improvement skills
