Business Development Executive

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and potential customers for the manufacturing business.
  • Assist the Accounts/Finance department with customer invoicing, accounts receivable follow-up, outstanding payment collection, and reconciliation of customer accounts.
  • Monitor sales enquiries, quotations, orders, and business opportunities from initial enquiry through to completion.
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, logistics, and finance/accounts departments to ensure timely processing and fulfilment of customer orders.
  • Review sales invoices and supporting documents to ensure accuracy before submission to customers.
  • Monitor sales revenue, customer payments, outstanding receivables, and business-development performance against assigned targets.
  • Maintain proper documentation of contracts, quotations, purchase orders, invoices, delivery documents, and customer correspondence.
  • Assist management in developing business-development strategies, sales plans, customer acquisition initiatives, and market-expansion activities.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates on sales activities, new leads, customer accounts, collections, outstanding receivables, and business opportunities.
  • Support accounting and administrative activities related to sales and customer accounts, while coordinating with the Accounts/Finance team for proper recording and reconciliation.
  • Perform other business-development, sales, commercial, and accounts-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience in business development, sales, accounts, finance, commercial operations, or a related field, preferably within the manufacturing or trading industry.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with Sales, Production, Procurement, Logistics, and Finance/Accounts departments.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint experience with accounting or ERP software is an advantage.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
