$19.00 – $22.00 / hour (DOE)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. In this role, you will provide administrative and transactional support across daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, and record keeping.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders, and assist with vendor payment schedules. Prepare billing statements and log incoming payments.
• Data Entry & Reconciliations: Accurately enter routine financial transactions into accounting software (QuickBooks). Assist with bank and account reconciliations. Help with web stores and ecommerce transactions such as Amazon, Ebay, company website stores, etc…
• Documentation & Filing: Maintain organized physical and digital financial records.
• Administrative Support: Respond to basic vendor and client billing queries, gather audit documentation, and support general office tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
• Experience: 1–2 years of experience in bookkeeping, AP/AR, or general administrative support preferred (entry-level applicants with relevant coursework welcome).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, basic formulas) and exposure to accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, fish bowl or similar).
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, clear written/verbal communication, and discretion with confidential data.
