Responsibilities
- Process and settle invoices and investments promptly to manage treasury functions effectively
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash records
- Prepare and post journal entries in the accounting system to maintain accurate bookkeeping
- Maintain general ledger and trial balance for financial accuracy
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with FRS, US GAAP, or other applicable accounting standards
- Draft notes to accounts and support audit processes during financial year-end
- Assist clients in resolving audit inquiries from external auditors to facilitate smooth audits
- Respond to investors’ ad-hoc requests on capital calls, commitments, compliance, tax, and related matters, escalating issues to clients when necessary
- Track and manage open investor queries to ensure timely resolution
- Draft clear and professional investor email communications
- Calculate management fees, performance fees, hurdle rates, and carried interest according to fund terms
- Prepare capital call notices, distribution notices, and investor statements aligned with fund agreements
- Assist in preparing and compiling quarterly and annual fund financial reports
- Participate in project meetings with clients to support implementation of technology solutions
- Identify and explore automation opportunities to enhance operations and add value for clients
- Prepare ad-hoc client and investor reports and analyses as requested
- Liaise with clients to review stakeholder reports such as MAS filings, K1s, and K3s
- Manage regulatory filings including CRS/FATCA and GST compliance
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in accounting functions
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Mandarin to communicate effectively with clients and investors
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word to perform accounting and reporting tasks accurately
- Detail-oriented and analytical to ensure high accuracy in work deliverables
- Self-motivated with good problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate as a team player
- Diploma in accounting and finance as a foundational educational qualification
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Proficiency in Korean language is an advantage
