Job Summary
Prepare and manage comprehensive accounting reports and records, perform investment and bank reconciliations, assist in financial statement preparation, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting reports, including those required under new or updated regulations
- Record journal entries accurately in the accounting system to maintain precise financial records
- Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions by liaising with vendors and stakeholders and resolving discrepancies or variances
- Record investment transactions, income, expenses, and adjustments to maintain accurate investment accounting records and supporting schedules
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items to ensure accurate cash balances
- Assist in preparing consolidated financial information and group reporting packages, including consolidation reports, schedules, intercompany reconciliations, and elimination entries
- Prepare and submit GST reports in compliance with IRAS regulations
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities to ensure timely financial close
- Draft financial statements and related notes in accordance with applicable accounting standards and reporting requirements
- Assist with the preparation and submission of financial statements in XBRL format
- Ensure all accounting activities comply with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Accounting, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent qualification recognised by ISCA
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- At least 1-2 years of accounting experience in a medium-size accounting firm preferred for Senior Associates position
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with accounting software, consolidation tools, XBRL software, and Microsoft Office applications
