Polydeck is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Temporary Accounting Clerk to support our Finance & Accounting team. This position plays a key role in payroll processing while also assisting with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable/Billing, and general accounting functions. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, maintains confidentiality, and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Assist with processing weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, and off-cycle payrolls
- Review timecards and payroll records for accuracy
- Support payroll adjustments, reporting, reconciliations, and employee payroll inquiries
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices
- Assist with Accounts Payable reconciliations and payment processing
- Prepare and process customer invoices
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies
- Support account reconciliations and month-end activities
- Maintain accurate records and handle confidential information appropriately
- Provide cross-functional support across accounting functions as needed
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Previous payroll or accounting experience preferred
- Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes is a plus
- Experience using UKG Ready for payroll and timekeeping strongly preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage recurring deadlines and multiple priorities simultaneously
