JOB SUMMARY:

Performs clerical accounting duties involving routine calculations, verifications, and postings according to standard procedures and methods.

MAJOR DUTIES:

• Accounts Payable Duties:
  • Enters accounts payable invoice batches
  • Codes invoice batches with vendor number, term, etc.
  • Keys in vendor invoices and credit memos for payment
  • Files accounts payable check copies and backup paperwork
  • Maintains A/P files
• Investigate and resolve customer queries including credit reference requests
• Process credits to customer accounts and other adjustments
• Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail or personally
• Assist Accounting Specialist and others when necessary
• Orders and maintains accounting general office supplies
• Performs other duties as necessary
