Accounting Executive [CCP for Accounting Professionals]
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Accounting Executive to take primary responsibility for the day-to-day accounting and finance function of Juyi International Consultancy Pte Ltd, its clients and its related subsidiaries ("Companies").
This is a fully accounting-focused position dedicated to financial and management accounting, taxation, audit support, and finance-related compliance activities. The role offers structured on-the-job development and clear opportunities for professional growth in the accounting profession. It also offers training on our in-house accounting software, KaiderBooks, designed exclusively for the Companies.
Key Responsibilities
A. Financial Accounting
Maintain full sets of accounts using double-entry bookkeeping principles for the Companies.
Record, post, and update general ledger accounts, journal entries, and daily accounting transactions accurately.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including verification, coding, and timely posting.
Prepare customer invoices, debit notes, credit notes, receipts, and statements of account, and follow up promptly on outstanding invoices and collections.
Monitor accounts receivable ageing and support credit control and debt collection activities.
Perform bank, cash, and inter-company reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Maintain the fixed asset register and compute depreciation in accordance with Company policy.
Perform month-end and year-end closing, including accruals, prepayments, and supporting schedules.
Prepare draft financial statements (profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements) and monthly management accounts.
Process payroll, staff claims, and reimbursements, ensuring accurate posting and record-keeping.
Maintain accounting records using KaiderBooks or equivalent accounting software.
B. Management Accounting
Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow projections for the Companies.
Prepare management reports and supporting schedules, including revenue, cost, and expense analysis.
Perform variance analysis against budgets and highlight significant deviations to management.
Track and analyse project, business unit, and departmental costs to support pricing and operational decisions.
Support management in monitoring key financial indicators and preparing periodic financial performance reviews.
C. Taxation
Prepare and submit GST returns (GST F5) and maintain proper GST records in compliance with IRAS requirements.
Assist in the preparation of corporate income tax computations and schedules, including Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI) and Form C-S/Form C-S (Lite) submissions.
Maintain supporting documentation for tax filings and respond to queries from tax agents and IRAS.
Keep up to date with relevant tax obligations affecting the Companies.
D. Assurance & Audit Support
Prepare audit schedules, working papers, and supporting documentation for statutory and internal audits.
Liaise with external auditors and provide financial information and explanations as required.
Support the maintenance of internal controls and assist in ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Assist management in implementing process improvements and strengthening financial controls.
E. Corporate Secretarial & Compliance
Assist in maintaining statutory records and registers and preparing documentation for corporate secretarial matters.
Support ACRA-related filings such as annual returns and changes in company particulars, in coordination with the Companies' corporate secretary.
Assist with finance-related compliance and licensing administration, including Private Education Institution (PEI), SkillsFuture, and other regulatory requirements relevant to the Companies.
Maintain proper records and documentation to support regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
Preferred Competencies & Qualifications
Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance, ACCA, CAT, LCCI, or equivalent accounting qualification.
At least 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience. Candidates eligible for the SkillsFuture Career Conversion Programme (CCP) for Accounting Professionals are also encouraged to apply.
Sound knowledge of accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping, general ledger accounting, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial reporting.
Working knowledge of GST, corporate taxation, payroll processing, and audit support processes is advantageous.
Experience with accounting software such as KaiderBooks, Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, Sage, or similar accounting systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong numerical aptitude with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with management, auditors, tax agents, regulators, clients, and colleagues.
Bilingual in spoken and written English and Mandarin is preferred.
Well-organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
