Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close tasks including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, P&L review, and general ledger data entry
- Manage day-to-day transactional accounting operations, including vendor bill entry and payment processing, accounts payable oversight and aging management, customer invoice generation, and accounts receivable collections and follow-up
- Support FP&A activities including updating budgets, maintaining financial forecasts, and providing variance analysis
- Leverage the latest AI platforms (including OpenAI and Claude) to produce high-quality books and financial reports
- Develop scalable and accurate accounting workflows to record client financial activity with precision and efficiency
- Build strong client relationships and deliver an exceptional experience across a portfolio of accounts
About You
Need to haves:- +5 years in a finance, accounting, consulting, or business role; B.S. or M.S. in a related field (e.g., Accounting, Business, Operations, Economics)
- Hands-on proficiency with cloud-based financial tools — experience with platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Google Workspace, Stripe, Bill.com, HubSpot, and various banking systems is a plus
- Technologically self-sufficient — able to learn new software independently and manage multiple applications simultaneously with little to no hand-holding
- Exceptional productivity — proven ability to handle high-volume, complex client work independently
- Strong execution mindset — decisive and action-oriented, capable of making sound judgments with the information at hand
- Highly organized with a sharp eye for detail and a process-driven approach
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to manage competing priorities and escalate appropriately and on time
- Contributes to a culture of inclusion and belonging
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Background in public accounting and/or corporate/industry accounting roles
- Prior experience in a people management or team leadership capacity
- Experience thriving in a high-growth startup or fast-paced consulting environment
Compensation: 2500-3000 USD
