Internship Overview:

The Accounting Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting financial reporting, accounting operations, tax-related activities, and special finance projects. Working alongside accounting and finance professionals, the intern will contribute to key business processes while developing a strong understanding of financial management, compliance, reporting, and analysis within a growing organization.

This role provides valuable exposure to financial reporting, general accounting, tax compliance, financial analysis, and business operations, while helping support accurate financial information and informed business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities, including account reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Support the preparation and analysis of financial reports, statements, and key business metrics.
  • Assist with tax-related projects, documentation, and compliance activities.
  • Analyze financial data and identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support special accounting and finance projects as assigned.
  • Help maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with accounting and cross-functional teams to gather and validate financial information.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations.
  • Create reports, presentations, and summaries for leadership and business partners.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous internship experience or relevant coursework in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Auditing, or a related field.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Experience working with financial data or accounting systems is a plus.
