Ketel Thorstenson, LLP (KT) is seeking motivated interns to join our Tax, Accounting Services, and Audit Services teams. This internship is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public accounting while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

As an intern, you will build your accounting knowledge, develop professional skills, and learn what it is like to serve clients in a public accounting firm. Internship opportunities may be available in the following areas:

• Tax Services: Assist with tax preparation, year-end accounting procedures, and tax research.

• Business Accounting Services: Help with bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, financial statements, payroll, sales tax reports, W-2s, and 1099s.

• Audit Services: Assist with financial statement drafting, audit procedures, review and compilation work, and audit planning.

Essential Duties include but are not limited to:

• Learn and apply basic accounting concepts.

• Review, organize, and enter financial information accurately.

• Maintain client files and records according to firm standards.

• Communicate with clients and team members in a professional manner.

• Attend training, professional development, firm events, and team activities.

• Use Microsoft Office, accounting software, tax software, and other job-related applications.

• Follow KT policies, procedures, professional standards, and confidentiality expectations.

• Complete other duties as assigned.
