Accounting Intern
As we continue to evolve our client portfolio and expand, MET Energia Italia is now looking for a talented Accounting Intern, who will be contributing to the growth of the company in the Italian market.
Within your first weeks you will receive a full training on the job so you have to be an eager learner in order to build your competencies that will render you independent. But we do not bring people aboard just to replicate what we already do, so at the same time you will have to identify potential areas of optimization and present your suggestions in a structured manner to the AFC Manager.
Step by step you will take on several activities that are part of the main duties in an accounting role, bringing your invaluable contribution to our daily operations:
Main tasks:
- Posting transactions in accounting software (Microsoft Navision) and maintaining accounting records
- Execute day to day accounting activities related to accounts receivable/payable and general accounting for the Company
- Support the Senior Accountant on arising accounting issues or anomalies promptly highlighting them
- Support the Back Office team to manage the requests received from customers regarding payments and other accounting related documents
- Support the financial statements closing and audit process, including preparation of materials and coordination with the external audit team
- Bachelor in Economics, Accounting or similar (Master degree is a plus)
- Fluent in Italian; good knowledge of English
- Advanced skills in Excel and Outlook
- Good understanding of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- Good understanding of bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable principles
- Accuracy and attention to details
- Curiosity and keeping up with finance & accounting news
- Ability to simultaneously control multiple tasks
- Flexible and able to adapt to rapidly changing situations and priorities
