Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit is growing! A well-established and leading law firm specializing in the representation of homeowner, condominium, and community associations is seeking an Accounting Manager for our Lincolnshire office, with 5+ years of experience.


The starting salary for this position is $90,000 annually, contingent up level of experience. The business hours for this exempt position are Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, and it follows a 35-hour workweek. The position requires a minimum of 60 days of in-office training. After successful completion, the role may transition to a hybrid schedule. The schedule will be determined by the manager once training is completed.

Duties/Responsibilities: The Accounting Manager is expected to both learn and perform the functions of every position in the Accounting Department, as well as perform those functions when required.


Banking & Cash Management

• Oversee banking activity and perform/review monthly bank reconciliations for all firm operating accounts.

• Reconcile firm credit card accounts on a monthly basis.


Accounts Payable

• Oversee the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments.


Financial Reporting & Audit

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Coordinate and serve as primary point of contact for external audits.

• Coordinate tax filings with the firm’s outside accountants, ensuring timely submission of required documentation.


Fixed Assets & Budgeting

• Maintain the fixed asset ledger, including tracking additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.

• Assist in the preparation of the firm’s annual budget and monitor actual performance against budget throughout the year.
