Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting, including financial close, reporting, revenue recognition, tax declarations, budgeting, and general operational support. They collaborate closely with the global finance team, local sales, customer service, warehouse, and other departments. Key duties include account reconciliations, monthly variance analysis, and resolving financial gaps. The role also involves generating management reports related to operations and financial performance. Overall, the Accounting Manager ensures accurate and timely financial reporting while supporting the company’s operational needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
  
• Minimum 8 years of accounting experience in multi-national organizations.
  

• Certified Practicing Accountant CPA
  
• Chartered Accountant CA
  

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing tasks independently.
  
• Strong multitasking skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, especially SAP, and knowledge of US GAAP and SOX controls; audit experience is a plus.
  
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, MS Office, and expertise in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  
• Strong analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative mindset to work cross-functionally.
  
• Comfortable working in a global, fast-paced, and matrixed environment with the flexibility to adjust hours for international communication.
  
• Fluent in English and Japanese across all communication forms, with a willingness to travel for business when necessary.
