Carrier is actively recruiting for an Accounting Manager, Residential Fire to join the team in Charlotte, NC.
About the role:
The successful candidate will execute financial reporting activities in accordance with US GAAP and Carrier policies, perform complex accounting activities, document and test business unit controls, deliver monthly and quarterly disclosure activities, and oversee monthly activities of shared service providers. Key focus is to ensure balance sheet correctly reflects business results with a concentration on analytics and reporting. In addition this role supports business unit Controller with any key initiatives and business unit focus items, as needed.
Responsibilities:
Perform complex accounting activities in accordance with US GAAP
Oversee the completion of transactions related to general accounting processes such as inter-company cash, cash management, government accounting, financial reporting, project accounting, and / or balance sheet management by managing third party shared services team to confirm timely and accurate monthly deliverables.
Document and test controls for large business unit
Analyze financial statements and reports to provide business decision support
Lead medium-scale projects.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
7+ years of accounting experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Accounting or MBA
