About The Role:
Stackline is looking for an Accounting Manager to own the month-end close, financial statements, and to be a trusted, visible partner to our auditors, employees, and the finance team. This is a hands-on technical role and a relationship role in equal measure.
This is a hybrid role (4 days/week in office) at our Seattle office.
What You Will Do:

- Research and document US GAAP technical memos, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting, and R&D capitalization, and explain conclusions clearly to non-accounting stakeholders.
- Prepare year-end US GAAP financial statements and footnotes.
- Coordinate audit requests with external auditors, and research and resolve audit issues raised.
- Own the integrity of key accounting processes by understanding transaction flows and internal controls, and recommending efficiency improvements.
- Lead accounting projects from scoping through implementation, including documentation and training.
- Perform special projects assigned by the Finance lead.
Who We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 5+ years of accounting and finance experience, preferably in a mix of professional services (public accounting) and high-growth companies.
- CPA, highly preferred
- Hands-on ASC 606 experience with subscription revenue; SaaS experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements.
- Ability to define, implement, and manage the creation of new processes.
- Ability to leverage technology to invent, improve, and scale.
- Demonstrated experience as a primary point of contact for external auditors.
- A track record of explaining technical accounting to non-finance audiences, in writing and in person.
