Accounting Manager
Direct Hire | $120,000-$130,000 | Onsite - Rancho Cucamonga, CA
A well-established, privately held manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong manufacturing or construction experience who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and partnering closely with senior leadership.
The Accounting Manager will report directly to the CFO and oversee higher-level accounting and financial activities while providing leadership to an experienced accounting team. The ideal candidate will take the time to understand the existing department, processes, and team dynamics before identifying opportunities for improvement.
What You'll Do-
Oversee month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger activity, and overall accounting accuracy

Review financial statements, account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses

Oversee job costing, work-in-process (WIP) reporting, and percentage-of-completion accounting

Ensure accounting records and financial reporting are accurate, timely, and compliant with GAAP

Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the accounting team

Partner closely with the CFO and senior leadership on accounting, reporting, and financial priorities

Review and improve accounting processes while maintaining an understanding of established procedures and team responsibilities

Support multi-state sales tax compliance and related accounting activities

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting within a largely manual accounting environment

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

5+ years of progressive accounting experience

Experience within a manufacturing or construction environment

Previous management or leadership experience

Hands-on experience with WIP and job costing

Experience with percentage-of-completion accounting

Knowledge of multi-state sales tax

Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
