Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Develop and deliver financial reports, analyses, and recommendations that support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Analyze financial and operational data, identify trends and variances, and communicate findings and recommendations to management.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and subsidiary systems to ensure data integrity and financial accuracy.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation, filing, and payment of all required tax returns, tax deposits, and related regulatory filings.
- Prepare monthly workpapers, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation for financial reporting and audit requirements.
- Partner with departmental leaders to communicate financial results, performance trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities as assigned.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance financial controls, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Lead or support special projects, business analyses, and other finance-related initiatives as requested.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and professional integrity.
- Ensure work is completed timely and documented in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate ownership of assigned responsibilities and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
· Ability to work independently as well as being able to work well in a team environment
· Detail oriented
· Ability to hit deadlines and multi-task
· Communication sill at a variety of levels
· Finance/Manufacturing industry knowledge (a plus but not required)
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
1. High School diploma or GED
2. 2-4 year accounting degree (a plus but not required)
3. Accounting experience
