Accounting Manager, US Accounting Operations

Niuro connects US companies with top talent in Latin America. For a growing US software company, we are hiring a hands-on Accounting Manager to own day-to-day US accounting operations, month-end close, payroll accounting, compliance and financial reporting.

You will work with a high degree of autonomy, partner directly with the CEO/CFO and coordinate with external tax and audit firms. This role fits an experienced Accounting Manager or Controller who has stayed close to the books.

What you will do:
- Own the complete month-end close: journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger review and monthly financial statements.
- Keep accurate, timely records in QuickBooks Online and protect the integrity of the general ledger.
- Own payroll accounting and reconciliations in ADP, including multi-state payroll requirements.
- Coordinate US corporate tax compliance with external CPA firms: schedules, documentation and information requests.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and improve accounting processes.

What you bring:
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with recent hands-on work as Accounting Manager, Controller or equivalent.
- Strong experience with US accounting operations and US-based companies.
- Advanced QuickBooks Online and hands-on ADP payroll accounting.
- Experience in a US software or technology company, including capitalized software costs.
- Executive-level communication: complex accounting matters explained clearly and concisely.
- Near-native English (C2).
