ACCOUNTING OFFICER

This ACCOUNTING OFFICER position, is located in the Comptroller Division, US Property and Fiscal Office (USPFO) and is part of the CA USPFO Army. This Vacancy is being advertised concurrently with Technician Vacancy CA-13094965-AR-27-011. Only one of the announced positions will be filled.

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION. The primary purpose of the ACCOUNTING OFFICER, GS-0510-12, is to serve as an Accounting Officer with responsibility for managing the total accounting function for the state ARNG. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.

CALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the CA National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Military technicians must be assigned to a military position in the same unit which they are employed or, in a unit that is supported by the employing activity. Military technicians must hold the military grade specified for the position. Priority Areas(s) of Consideration: AREA I= Current CA National Guard employees who are serving on a Permanent/Indefinite/Temporary appointment. AREA II= Current CA National Guard members. AREA III= Current military members of the Air Force/Army National Guard, Air Force/Army Reserve or Air Force/Army Active Duty. (Applicants who are currently in other Air/Army branches and NOT currently a member of the CA National Guard (CNG) must become a member of a compatible unit of assignment within the Army CNG commensurate with the military grade listed in this announcement prior to federal assignment). Military Grades: E-7 through E-9, or W-1 through W-3, or O-1 through O-4 Recruitment/Relocation Recruitment/Relocation Incentive IS NOT authorized. PCS Relocation Costs IS NOT authorized based on determination that Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move is not in the Government best interest Must wear appropriate military uniform including required grooming standards. Must maintain a compatible military unit, grade and job assignment as required by current directives. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. Head of Agency requests to exceed 14days in a calendar year must be approved in advance. Security Clearance: at a minimum a National Agency Check is required.
