ACCOUNTING OFFICER
An accounting officer manages a company's daily financial records, tracks payments, and handles accounts payable and receivable. They ensure transactions are accurate, reconcile bank statements, process invoices, and support month-end closing and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping: Record day-to-day financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
- Invoicing & Payments: Create, issue, and process invoices, bills, and employee expense claims.
- Reconciliation: Match purchase orders, receipts, and bank statements to fix errors.
- Collections: Track overdue accounts and follow up with clients or vendors on payments.
- Reporting Support: Help prepare budgets, financial statements, and audit documents.
Requirements & Skills
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business.
- Software: Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and accounting tools like QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, good math skills, and strong organization.
