Community Services for Every1 Accounting Specialist
Performs specific functions that are unique to the Business Office. Performs general accounting functions such as bank reconciliations, cash entries, journal entries, and general ledger account reconciliations.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepares cash application entries for housing entities
2. Performs bank reconciliations for bank accounts assigned
3. Record activity in the general ledger using Acumatica for areas assigned.
4. Prepares general journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with month-end schedule
5. Assists Staff Accountants, Director of Finance and Vice President of Finance with the preparation of reports required by various funding sources
6. Assists with financial analysis
7. Assists in assembling records for various audits and financial reviews.
8. Performs other accounting duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Will work in office environment.
2. Will work during normal business hours.
1. Education and Experience
a. Associates Degree in Accounting with 2 years related experience, or
b. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a related internship
2. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
a. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
b. Learned knowledge of accounting functions and procedures;
c. Proficient in the use of computers, general organization and reconciliation skills.
d. Capable of organizing information and self-monitoring of completion of responsibilities and duties.
e. Good spelling and grammatical skills.

4. Verifications and Screenings
a. County clearance of criminal convictions.
b. A drug screen prior to the commencement of employment.
5. Physical and Mental Requirements
a. Exercising independent judgment, concentrating, thinking, communicating, interacting with others, managing multiple tasks and coping with stressful situations and deadlines.
b. Staying awake and alert while on duty.
c. Ability to perform sedentary physical activity of an administrative nature.
