Accounting Specialist (Specialist TCM)
Job Description Summary
This is a fixed-term position for one year (full time), with the possibility of extension. Accounting Specialist (Specialist TCM) is responsible for accounting operations, including bank statement processing, payment execution, bank reconciliations, customer billing, regulatory reporting and support of month-end closing activities. The role ensures accurate financial records, compliance with internal controls and efficient execution of cash management processes.Job Description
Job location: Zagreb, Croatia
Contract type: A fixed-term employment contract for one year, with the possibility of renewal/extension.
Expected weekly working hours: 40
Major accountabilities:
- Cash management activities, including bank account monitoring and liquidity management.
- Process and post bank statements, perform bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
- Execute payment processes in accordance with internal controls.
- Prepare and submit regulatory and statistical reports to external authorities.
- Supports issuance of customer invoices and credit notes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and local regulations.
- Support general ledger activities, month-end close and financial reporting processes.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records in the fixed asset register.
- Prepare financial analyses and reports, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.
- Provide accurate and timely data for internal and external reporting requirements, including statutory, tax and regulatory reporting.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and FRA projects at country or BU level.
Work Experience and required education:
- Previous experience in Accounting is welcome, but not essential. We encourage applications from motivated early-career professionals and recent graduates.
- Secondary education or a university degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience with SAP is an advantage.
Skills:
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
- SAP knowledge is considered an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
