Accounting Supervisor APAC MO

We are looking for a Accounting Supervisor APAC MO to join us, based in Shanghai, China.

About the role

•Monitor day to day Record-to-Reporting process operations.

•Support to develop and maintain accounting principles, practices and procedures, internal controls to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

•Supervise outsourcing partners ensuring that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely manner.

•Cooperate with APAC countries’ local team to meet their target/expectation.

What you’ll do

• Prepare / review accurate and timely monthly financial information; ensures account analysis &/or reconciliations completed on a monthly basis
• Prepare / review statutory report, group report and some other management report
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly & year-end close in close coordination with HQ
• Supervise outsourcing partners ensuring the accuracy for all books of accounts, including AP, AR, stock, expense reports, accruals, capital accounts, payroll records administration, intercompany, etc
• Ensure internal control compliance for R2R
• Support APAC countries in internal & external audit process
• Coach and training outsourcing partners to deliver the qualified service and improve efficiency
• Drive R2R process standardization with Global in APAC Region
• Monitor the KPI of R2R result and target for continuous improvement
• Special projects and Ad hoc reports are required
• Support the launch of new digital application in APAC (eg. Qlik sense Dashboard; data foundation; AI prediction; Robotics etc.)

Close communicate with country FD/ I2I to enhance fluence of middle office, ensure accuracy and compliance of financial book, and to meet with country needs and expectation for MO.

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

• Education

• University Education in Accounting, Finance or other relevants
• Accounting Certificate
• More than 5 Years’ experience in accounting & reporting function of multinational companies

• Experience and Requirements

• Good knowledge of IFRS & Japan Accounting Standard
• Strong techniques in SAP, Cognos, BI. Experience in S/4HANA is a plus
• Strong Financial and Analytical Skills
• Ability to manage to tight schedules, juggle tasks and plan according to business needs.
• Excellent Communications Skills
• Detail oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy
• Languages: High proficiency of Japanese; Medium proficiency of English
