Accounting Technician

About the role

As a Tax Accountant in Barcelona, you will manage accounting and tax tasks within the Accounting & Finance area of a company in the professional services sector.

What you'll do

• Accounting management of a client portfolio, mainly corporations.
• Recording and accounting of issued and received invoices, banks, amortizations, and accounting entries.
• Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closings.
• Preparation and filing of taxes: VAT, IRPF, Corporate Tax, and withholdings.
• Preparation and filing of periodic and informative tax returns.
• Preparation and closing of annual accounts and legalization of accounting books.
• Bank reconciliations and review of balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
• Attention and resolution of accounting and tax inquiries from clients.
• Monitoring of tax and accounting deadlines for the assigned portfolio.
• Coordination with the rest of the firm's team to ensure correct client management.

What we're looking for

• Degree in Business Administration and Management, Economics, Finance, or similar.
• Previous experience in a tax accounting position within a professional firm or consultancy.
• Solid knowledge of accounting and Spanish tax regulations.
• Experience in the preparation and filing of taxes.
• Proficiency in accounting and tax management software, preferably A3, Sage, or others similar.
• Proficiency in Excel and office tools.
• Organized, methodical, and proactive person with the ability to manage different clients simultaneously.
• Good communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
