Accounts Assistant

Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Assistant to manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting fundamentals, hands-on experience with Tally, GST compliance, and inventory/stock reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting transactions and bookkeeping.
  
• Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries in Tally.
  
• Prepare and maintain ledgers, vouchers, and financial records.
  
• Manage GST-related entries, reconciliations, and assist in GST compliance.
  
• Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
  
• Handle stock accounting, inventory reconciliation, and stock verification.
  
• Coordinate with internal teams for accounting and inventory-related matters.
  
• Ensure proper documentation and maintain accurate financial records.
  
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a related field.
  
• 2–3 years of experience in accounting.
  
• Proficiency in Tally ERP/Tally Prime.
  
• Strong knowledge of GST and core accounting principles.
  
• Experience in stock accounting, inventory management, or stock reconciliation is mandatory.
  
• Good understanding of bank reconciliations and bookkeeping.
  
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
  
• Experience in manufacturing, trading, or inventory-driven businesses will be an advantage.
