Job Description
The Accounts Executive supports daily financial operations and general accounting administration across the organization. This position is responsible for processing key transactional documents, including cheques, tax invoices, debit/credit notes, petty cash claims, and journal vouchers. Working closely with vendors, customers, and internal departments, the Accounts Executive handles banking processes (GIRO applications, bank remittances, and Letters of Credit) and coordinates administrative tasks such as stationery allocation and statutory reporting queries. This entry-level position is well-suited for accounting diploma graduates seeking to build a strong foundation in practical financial operations and accounting software systems.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Transactions & Documentation
Prepare and issue cheques, tax invoices, credit notes, and debit notes accurately and in a timely manner.
Manage and reconcile daily petty cash transactions and record relevant entries.
Generate accounting vouchers, including receipt, outgoing payment, and journal vouchers.
Banking & Treasury Support
Process and manage customer and vendor GIRO application forms.
Prepare telegraphic transfer/bank remittance applications and Letter of Credit (LC) documentation for bank submissions.
Office Administration & Ad-hoc Duties
Oversee office paper and stationery allocation across departments.
Handle data requests and respond to statutory queries from regulatory bodies (e.g., Department of Statistics).
Perform additional financial, administrative, and ad-hoc accounting tasks as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Diploma in Accounting (LCCI Level 3 or equivalent standard qualification).
Experience: At least 1-year experience in account payable in construction industry.
Hands-on familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems is an added advantage.
