Accounts Executive (Full Set)
About the Company
We are a leading Singapore-based main contractor specializing in building construction projects. Driven by sustained growth and an exciting pipeline of upcoming projects, we are expanding our finance team. We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Finance / Accounts Executive to manage our accounts payable functions and contribute to our financial success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Full Set of Accounts & General Ledger
Handle full sets of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
Process weekly/monthly vendor payments, intercompany transactions, invoice processing, and receipt transactions.
Prepare and post journal entries, journal vouchers, and perform regular bank reconciliations.
Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
Ensure proper filing and maintenance of all financial and project-related documents.
2. Billing & Receivables Management
Issue and post sales invoices, credit memos, and vendor invoices aligned with supporting documents and contracts.
Ensure timely billing, generate AR aging reports, and distribute Statements of Account.
Actively follow up on outstanding receivables to maintain a healthy cash flow.
3. Financial Reporting & Compliance
Prepare monthly financial statements, comprehensive management reports, and cash flow forecasts.
Prepare and submit GST returns accurately and on time.
Ensure full compliance with local accounting standards and statutory requirements.
Support year-end closing, annual audits, and liaise directly with external auditors and tax agents.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA).
Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant Accounts Payable or general accounting experience.
Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in the Construction or Engineering sector is highly advantageous.
Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and capable of working under tight project deadlines.
Proficient in Xero accounting software.
