Accounts Executive
Summary
Oversee full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and compliance for a Singapore-based company, including ledger management, audits, and tax filings.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations.
- Lead and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare management accounts, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
- Monitor cash flow, prepare cash flow forecasts, and manage banking transactions.
- Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit statutory reports, tax schedules, GST/VAT returns (where applicable), and other regulatory filings.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, bankers, and regulatory authorities during audits and statutory reporting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decision-making.
- Review accounting entries and financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support the implementation and enhancement of accounting systems, financial processes, and internal controls.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff where applicable.
- Participate in finance-related projects and perform other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with experience handling a full set of accounts.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
- Experience in audit coordination, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
