Accounts Officer
Summary
Manages financial accounts for a fleet of ships, preparing reports, handling expenses, and ensuring compliance with owners' requirements using standard accounting tools.
Responsibilities:
- Handle full set of vessel accounts, including PO accruals, portage bill, OPEX reporting and related accounting matters.
- Generate financial reports and ensure timely submission in accordance with owners’ requirements.
- Respond to vessel owners’ queries and follow up on accounting matters where required.
- Prepare working fund requests and perform calculations for deficit / surplus working fund.
- Complete vessel accounts in compliance with owners’ requirements and within the required timeline.
- Independently manage a portfolio of at least seven vessels.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Business Faculty.
- Minimum 1 year full set of accounts, experience in vessel accounting is an advantage.
- Strong sense of responsibility and commitment.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
