Accounts Officer (Income Audit)
Summary
Audits hotel revenue streams like room rates and food/beverage to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with controls, reporting findings to management.
The Income Auditor conducts independent reviews of hotel revenue streams to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal controls. Their work affects the quality of topline financial reporting to management and risk management of front office operations.
This role reports directly to the Income Audit manager and the Assistant Director of Finance
Job Description
- Perform audits of various revenue sources, including room rates and food and beverage
- Verify accuracy of revenue postings and identify discrepancies
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies with relevant departments
- Monitor cash controls and identify potential operational fraud risks
- Prepare audit reports and recommendations for improvement
- Maintain awareness of industry best practices and regulatory requirements
- Work at headquarters alongside a team of income auditors, managing a portfolio of hotels in the group
- Opportunity to participate in projects related to automation, A.I. and key systems implementation
- Opportunity to do a job rotation within finance after a few years or progression within same function based on performance
- Experience using AI-powered workplace productivity tools (e.g.Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or other approved AI applications) to improve operational efficiency, reporting, communication or process automation will be an added advantage.

Job Requirement
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting or related
Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
Experience in hotel accounting or auditing preferred
Excellent analytical and investigative skills
Strong communication and writing skills
