Accounts Payable Specialist

• Location: onsite in Houston
• Hiring Need: ASAP
• Pay Rate: $20–$22 per hour
• Schedule: 7:00 AM-4:00 PM OR 7:30 AM-4:30 PM
• Work-from-Home Flexibility: One day per week, once fully trained.
• Testing Requirement: Candidates must be able to successfully complete an advanced Excel assessment, including formulas and pivot tables.
• Job Description:

Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:

• Handle A/P transactions and payments for domestic vendors and international agents reconciling statements while ensuring proper approvals, verification of charges and ensuring payments are made within agreed terms
• Help automate processes and streamline procedures; eliminating repetitive or manual steps
• Tracking and posting invoices
• Researching and resolving discrepancies, questions, and concerns from vendors, agents, and partners while keeping confidentiality where applicable
• Capably and confidently identify, prioritize and resolve service challenges, while managing a full workload in a fast-paced environment

Position Requirements:

• 1+ years' of accounts payable
• Experience with excel knowledge, including pivot tables, V-lookup, etc.
• Freight and logistics industry experience is a plus but not required
• Accurate data entry skills
• Ability to learn and master our Accounting and Operations ERP system (CargoWise)
