Position: Accounts Payable Specialist

What You'll Do:

• Maintaining and updating the cash flow worksheet
• Update daily exchange rate in EDI
• Prepare and reconcile creditors payments including overseas creditors in accordance to their agreed payment terms, escalating any issues to the Accounts Payable Supervisor.
• Allocate the creditor invoices to the creditors account in EDI after payment.
• Update the EFT customs report and check to ensure that the cost has been
• invoiced to the client if not notify the Accounts Receivable Supervisor
• Forward the monthly statements to clients and any queries that relate to copies of missing invoices to be auctioned.
• Preparation of the quarterly BAS (GST) and PAYG statement.
• Preparation of monthly payroll journal
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and assisting finance manager in preparation of Statutory accounts for external accountants.
• Other projects and duties as requested by the Finance Manager.
• Preparation of monthly reporting requirements such as, Actual Profit and loss vs Budget Profit and loss and Reforecasting, measurement of job numbers by department versus costs per department..etc.

What You'll Need:

• Very Good English Skills
• With experience using EDI (willing to train candidate in EDI) and Excel
• Book keeping skills
• Experience with data admin and banking
• Strong communication skills and ability to multitask
• With experience in freight forwarding
