About the Opportunity

At MezTal, we are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join the accounting team of one of our U.S.-based clients in the Senior Living industry.

The ideal candidate has strong full-cycle AP experience, excellent English communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with U.S.-based teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, from invoice processing to payments and reconciliations.
• Review, code, and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals.
• Perform two-way and three-way invoice matching when applicable.
• Prepare vendor payments and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Reconcile vendor statements, AP balances, and aging reports.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Support month-end closing, including AP reconciliations and accruals.
• Collaborate with U.S.-based accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• Strong experience managing full-cycle Accounts Payable (required).
• Advanced English proficiency, written and spoken (required).
• Previous experience working with U.S.-based companies or accounting teams (required).
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, vendor reconciliations, and payment processes.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate proactively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing AP for multiple entities or locations.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and month-end closing processes.
• Experience in Senior Living, Healthcare, or Real Estate.
• Experience improving accounting processes.
