Accounts Payable Specialist (US Real Estate)

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to support the finance operations, a US real estate company.
This is a hands-on operational role focused on invoice processing, Accounts Payable workflows, and communication with the US team.
Responsibilities:
Process vendor invoices and supporting documents.
Review invoices for completeness and accuracy.
Enter and maintain invoice information in the accounting/ERP system.
Make sure invoices are assigned to the correct vendor, entity, property, and expense category.
Route invoices through the appropriate approval workflow.
Track pending approvals and follow up when needed. Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, missing information, duplicate invoices, and other AP-related issues.
Maintain accurate vendor and invoice records. Communicate with internal teams and, when necessary, vendors regarding invoices and payment-related questions.
Monitor open and pending AP items and ensure they are processed in a timely manner.
Support other day-to-day Accounts Payable and Finance Operations activities as needed.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, accounting operations, P2P / Procure-to-Pay, or a similar finance role.
Good understanding of the invoice-to-payment process.
Basic accounting knowledge, including GL accounts, vendors, legal entities, and expense allocation.
Experience working with an ERP or accounting system.
Good Excel / Google Sheets skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high volume of transactions.
Ability to investigate issues independently and follow them through to resolution.
Good written and spoken English — B2 or higher.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Nice to have:
Experience working with a US company.
Experience in real estate, property management, or construction.
Experience with Yardi or another real estate accounting system.
Experience working in a multi-entity environment.
