Accounts Receivable Manager (1 Year Contract / Shared Services / West)

About the role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager to lead the AR function within a shared services environment. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end receivables operations, driving process improvements, and partnering with stakeholders to ensure efficient and accurate finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the Accounts Receivable team to achieve operational and service excellence.
• Oversee end-to-end AR processes, including billing, reconciliations, cash application, collections, and ageing management.
• Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of transactions, payments, and settlements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and month-end closing requirements.
• Partner with stakeholders to resolve operational issues and improve service delivery.
• Drive automation, standardization, and process improvement initiatives across AR operations.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable, Finance Operations or Shared Services functions.
• Prior experience leading and developing finance or shared services teams.
• Strong accounting knowledge with experience handling high-volume transactions.
• Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI, dashboarding, automation tools, or scripting will be an advantage.
