About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and customer-focused Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our Finance team.
This is not a traditional collections position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable while maintaining strong relationships with customers through exceptional service and professional communication. The role requires balancing timely payment follow-ups with a customer-centric approach.
As an AR Specialist, you will manage customer accounts, assist with accounting functions, and serve as a key point of contact for billing and payment-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full Accounts Receivable cycle from start to finish.
Contact customers via phone and email regarding outstanding balances.
Send account statements, payment reminders, and follow-up communications.
Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions.
Monitor aging reports, outstanding balances, and payment statuses.
Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and account-related issues.
Prepare reports on AR performance and collection trends.
Collaborate with internal departments to maintain accurate customer records.
Ensure professional and customer-focused communication throughout the collection process.
Build positive customer relationships while supporting timely payment resolution.
Additional Responsibilities
Support bookkeeping and accounting activities, including:
Account reconciliations
Transaction approvals
Financial record maintenance
Assist customers with billing, payment, and account inquiries.
Support process improvement initiatives within the Finance team.
Perform data entry and account maintenance with a high level of accuracy.
Qualifications
Required
1.5 to 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable.
Experience in customer-facing financial roles.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (B2-C1)
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and business software applications.
Experience managing multiple accounts simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to research and resolve discrepancies independently.
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Experience with bookkeeping, account reconciliations, or general accounting support is a plus.
