We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions for data generation, collection, processing, and integration. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Databricks, data pipeline development, ETL/ELT processes, and data optimization.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark within Databricks.
Build and manage batch and streaming data workflows.
Implement ETL/ELT processes to transform raw data into curated datasets.
Optimize SQL queries for speed and efficiency.
Design and implement Snowflake schemas, fact tables, and dimension tables.
Implement data access controls and permissions using Unity Catalog.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems.
Document data processes and workflows for knowledge sharing.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data engineering.
Actively participate in team discussions and contribute to continuous improvement.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.
Expert proficiency in Databricks.
Strong knowledge of data pipeline architecture and implementation.
Experience with data integration, transformation, and ETL/ELT techniques.
Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and distributed data processing.
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and data warehousing concepts.
Experience with SQL query optimization and dimensional data modeling.
Knowledge of Unity Catalog, data governance, and access management.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Ability to optimize data workflows for scalability, performance, and reliability.
