We are seeking an experienced IT Application Engineer specializing in enterprise physical security systems, with strong hands-on expertise in Lenel OnGuard and working knowledge of Genetec Security Center.

The successful candidate will manage the deployment, upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, and modernization of enterprise security applications supporting access control, video management, visitor management, badge administration, and alarm monitoring.

This role will support the organization's transition toward a hybrid OnGuard and Genetec environment over the next three to four years. The candidate will collaborate with global security operations, IT infrastructure, database, networking, cybersecurity, and vendor teams to ensure system reliability, security compliance, scalability, and operational continuity.

1. Deploy, upgrade, configure, and maintain Lenel OnGuard applications across enterprise facilities while supporting the transition to Genetec Security Center.

2. Support access control, video management, alarm monitoring, badge management, and visitor management workflows.

3. Maintain application architecture, including servers, databases, application services, clients, and third-party integrations.

4. Troubleshoot complex application issues involving access panels, communication servers, databases, network connectivity, client applications, and connected security devices.

5. Perform system health checks, log reviews, service validation, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions to maintain high availability.

6. Configure access levels, cardholder permissions, badge types, alarm priorities, event-to-action rules, graphical maps, and operational workflows.

7. Support OnGuard integrations using DataConduIT, OpenAccess APIs, and other applicable interfaces.

8. Assist with Genetec Security Center administration and integration planning, including Synergis access control and Omnicast video management.

9. Support related Genetec capabilities such as Mission Control, ClearID, Data Exporter, Operations Center, AutoVu, and Sipelia, as applicable to the deployment scope.

10. Manage Microsoft SQL Server activities, including backup and restore, query review, performance analysis, maintenance, and disaster recovery support.

11. Support Windows Server, IIS, Active Directory integration, service accounts, certificates, application patching, and controlled deployments.

12. Coordinate with networking and cybersecurity teams to troubleshoot connectivity and maintain secure communications, including TLS 1.2 or higher where required.

13. Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, upgrade procedures, migration dependencies, and operational runbooks.

14. Coordinate enterprise deployments, upgrades, stabilization activities, and migration readiness with global stakeholders and vendors.

15. Identify opportunities for application rationalization, integration improvements, operational efficiency, and long-term platform modernization.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Lenel OnGuard architecture and administration.

• Knowledge of Communication Server, Application Server, SQL databases, alarm monitoring clients, OpenAccess APIs, and DataConduIT.

• Experience with OnGuard version 8.2 or later is preferred.

• Expertise in configuring cardholders, badge formats, access levels, access panels, alarm rules, reports, and permission groups.

• Ability to troubleshoot application, database, panel, service, and integration issues.

• Working knowledge of Genetec Security Center architecture and administration.

• Understanding of Synergis access control and Omnicast video management.

• Familiarity with Security Desk, Mission Control, ClearID, and related Genetec applications.

• Ability to support platform adoption, integration planning, migration, and operational stabilization.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including backup, restore, performance optimization, and disaster recovery.

• Experience with Windows Server, IIS, Active Directory, service accounts, certificates, patching, and application deployment.

• Knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing, and network segmentation.

• Experience supporting integrations with badge printers, biometric devices, access-control hardware, alarm panels, and related security systems.

• Familiarity with REST APIs, data feeds, reporting integrations, and Power BI requirements.

• Understanding of enterprise cybersecurity controls and secure communication standards.

• 10+ years of relevant experience in IT application engineering, enterprise application administration, or physical security systems.

• Strong practical experience with Lenel OnGuard.

• Experience supporting enterprise access-control and security application environments.

• Working knowledge of Genetec Security Center or the ability to support its adoption and integration.

• Experience with SQL Server, Windows Server, networking, and third-party integrations.

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

• Strong documentation, communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

• Lenel Certified Professional (LCP) or Lenel Certified Expert (LCE).

• Genetec Security Center certification or hands-on experience with Synergis, Omnicast, Mission Control, or ClearID.

• Experience supporting cloud or hybrid-hosted enterprise security applications, including Azure or comparable platforms.

• Experience in global deployments, application modernization, platform migration, and enterprise security architecture.

• Coordinate with security operations, IT infrastructure, database, networking, cybersecurity, and vendor teams.

• Lead or support application deployment, upgrade, stabilization, and migration activities.

• Communicate technical issues and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.

• Contribute to solution design, modernization roadmaps, and application rationalization initiatives.
