ACTIVITIES AIDE – Brothers of Mercy Wellness Campus
PT Evening Shift (12 - 8), alternating weekends
Join our team at Brothers of Mercy, where Activities Aides play a vital role in creating meaningful and engaging experiences for our residents. This position allows you to make a direct, positive impact on residents’ daily lives through social, recreational, and therapeutic programs.
What You’ll Do:
- Plan, organize, and lead activities including crafts, music programs, exercise groups, sensory activities, videos/movies, social activities, and daily living skill programs tailored to residents' abilities and interests.
- Lead and facilitate evening programming, including running two scheduled evening activities.
- Assist with one-on-one interactions and group activities on assigned units.
- Develop, update, and document resident activity care plans in accordance with departmental and regulatory requirements.
- Complete accurate documentation of resident participation, engagement, and responses to activities.
- Set up, maintain, and decorate activity areas to ensure a safe, efficient, and pleasant environment.
- Transport and seat residents for activities, meals, and special events.
- Monitor residents during programs, including those who may wander away from activity areas.
- Assist with meal tray service and transportation to and from meals as needed.
- Support other departments and assist with resident needs as necessary to ensure quality care and a positive resident experience.
