Role Description

We are seeking a Full-Time and/or Part-Time, on-site Acupuncturist to join our growing team. The Acupuncturist will assess clients’ health history, current concerns, and treatment goals to develop individualized treatment plans. Responsibilities include providing safe, evidence-based acupuncture treatments, monitoring client progress, providing appropriate education and home-care recommendations, and maintaining complete and timely clinical documentation. The Acupuncturist will have the opportunity to collaborate with other wellness practitioners as appropriate and contribute to a positive, professional, and client-focused clinic environment.

Position Requirements

The successful candidate will:

• Be responsible, reliable, and committed to a strong work ethic
• Provide professional, compassionate, and client-focused care
• Actively listen to and respond to client needs
• Conduct thorough client assessments and ongoing evaluations of treatment progress
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals
• Provide safe, professional, and evidence-informed acupuncture treatments
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely clinical documentation
  
• Hold the appropriate Alberta registration/licensing required to practice acupuncture
• Be registered and in good standing with the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta
• Hold valid professional liability insurance
• Experience with additional treatment modalities — an asset
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary clinic — an asset
• Be available to work evenings and/or weekends — an asset

Conditions of Engagement

Successful candidates will be required to provide:

• Proof of a satisfactory criminal record check
• Proof of current registration with the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta (CAA) and a valid practice permit
• Proof of valid and current professional liability insurance
• Proof of good standing with the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta

Independent Contractor Position

This is an independent contractor opportunity, not an employee position. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining their own professional registration, liability insurance, tax obligations, and other requirements associated with independent practice.
