ADAS/AD Systems Engineer

ADAS/AD Systems Engineer finds creative engineering solutions along with a strong domain knowledge to develop automated driving technologies from concept level to production sign-off by working on requirements, systems design & modeling, simulation of ADAS/AD features. Description of daily responsibilities include, but is not limited to, the following:

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • ADAS/AD Systems Engineer finds creative engineering solutions along with a strong domain knowledge to develop automated driving technologies from concept level to production sign-off by working on requirements, systems design & modeling, simulation of ADAS/AD features. Description of daily responsibilities include, but is not limited to, the following:

  • For safe and fascinating driving experience, develop and define functional/non-functional requirements of ADAS/AD features with performance KPIs,
  • Reflect your system and domain knowledge to design ADAS/AD features according to standards and legislations,
  • ADAS/AD systems specification and modeling,
  • Design, model, test/simulate, document and maintain ADAS/AD scenarios,
  • Work with AVL Global experts to keep up with the latest technologies and industry trends,
  • Involved in R&D activities.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • BSc. in Electronics, Controls, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Automotive engineering or other related area and preferably with MSc. or PhD. degrees.
  • Strong understanding of fundamentals of ADAS/AD and/or vehicle features (e.g. functions, algorithms, architectures etc.)
  • Experience in the following areas; System engineering, ADAS/AD Scenario-based development, ADAS/AD simulation and AI-based applications
  • Experience with requirements management tools such as Codebeamer / PTC Integrity / Polarion / DOORS or simulation tools such as AVL Scenario Simulator / CarMaker / etc.
  • Good knowledge of ADAS/AD relevant safety standards & regulations, Functional safety (ISO26262) and SOTIF (ISO21448)
  • Having programming experience in any language (Phyton, C#, etc) is a plus
  • Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English and German
  • Willingness to frequent and long-term travel abroad
